This custom Smart field definition can be used to calculate a constituent’s number of consecutive years of giving. The new definition name is Constituent recognition credit consecutive giving years, and it can be found under Constituent > Recognition Credits. (Remember that new Smart field instances need to be permissioned via System roles on the Smart fields tab.)
The parameters are
Calculation method. Choose from Traditional, Current Year, or Prior Year. See the definitions in the screenshot above.
Year to use. Choose from Calendar or Fiscal.
Application selection. Optional. Choose a Financial transaction line item selection to only include specific gifts.
The results will depend largely on the Calculation method selected. The chart below shows some examples.
