We have logic in the data warehouse to assign the primary recognition donors separately from the hard credit donor, for example if Mary gives through a DAF we assign the primary recognition credit to Mary not her DAF.
There are two options when assigning the flag
One to Many
Allow multiple Indirect Giving Credit donor recipients to have primary recognition credit. Recommended to give more accurate view of giving for Indirect Giving Credit donors.
One to One
Assigns primary recognition to the indirect giving organization instead of the individual donors. Recommended if you have data models requiring a 1-1 is primary relationship to a transaction.
The default is “One to Many” if no value is entered, or if the entered value is not correct.
