Personal Info/Name formats

Addressee and salutations for individual constituents.  This is the equivalent of the Addr/Sal tab in RE.

Good to Know

  • Atlas has a number of Partners standard name types that will be added and maintained automatically when an individual is added or as life changes occur.  These are
    • Household Formal Addressee and Salutation (RE Primary Addressee and Salutation)
    • Household Informal Addressee and Salutation (RE Informal Addressee and Salutation)
    • Individual Formal Addressee and Salutation (RE Individual Addressee and Salutation)
    • Individual Informal Addressee and Salutation (RE Individual Informal Addr and Sal)
    • Household Sortname (RE Combined Sortname)
    • Individual Event Nametag (RE Event Name Tag)
  • Household name calculation EXCLUDES inactive constituents, so if you have an active spouse married to an inactive spouse, the inactive spouse will not be included in the household names for the active spouse
  • Salutations can be set as customized, which is the RE equivalent of editable.  This means you do not want the system to calculate the name but you will add it and maintain it manually.  You can tell by editing the name format and see if the customized formula is selected, and additionally customized salutations appear in italics.
  • The constituent name in the Atlas header is pulled from the Individual Formal Addressee.  If this name is customized for the individual, the customized version will pull into the Atlas header (if you make a change and want it to appear immediately you will need to refresh the page)
  • Donor honor roll or donor recognition names are added here for individuals, and in attributes for organizations
  • Conversion Notes:
    • All salutations from RE converted as customized, which is the RE equivalent of editable.
    • Because we want Atlas to build and maintain the Partners standard name types dynamically, only the RE editable names of these types converted.  The rest are built by Atlas so they can update automatically as personal data changes.
    • In conversion validation CRM environment you should see values 1. any Partners standard name types marked editable in RE, and 2. any other name types at your affiliate.  In other environments, you should see all the names as you would at go-live.
