MCL/Self-pay Constituencies

This page describes the process for maintaining the MCL Patient Self-Pay, Guarantor Self-Pay, and Guarantor constituencies. These constituencies are maintained by three Add user-defined Constituency global changes.

The global changes use the following selections:

    1. MCL Constituency: Patient Self pay – Constituents who have at least one “self pay” visit OR who were converted with the Patient Self Pay constituency.
    2. MCL Constituency: Guarantor Self-pay – Constituents who are a guarantor on at least one self-pay visit OR who were converted with the Guarantor Self-pay constituency.
    3. MCL Constituency: Guarantor – Constituents who are a guarantor on at least one visit OR who were converted with the Guarantor constituency AND are not in the MCL Constituency Guarantor Self-pay selection referenced above. (Constituents should ideally not have both the Guarantor and Guarantor self-pay constituency.)
    4. MCL Constituency: Guarantor Self-pay plus Spouse – Constituents who are in the guarantor self-pay selection referenced above OR who have a spouse with the guarantor self-pay constituency and the same address.
    5. MCL Constituency: Guarantor plus Spouse – Constituents who are in the guarantor selection referenced above OR who have a spouse with the guarantor constituency and the same address.

The global changes are:

  • Add/Remove Constituency: Guarantor. This uses the MCL Constituency: Guarantor plus Spouse selection.

  • Add/Remove Constituency: Guarantor Self-pay – Same as above, but uses the Guarantor Self-pay plus spouse selection
  • Add/Remove Constituency: Patient Self-pay. This uses the MCL Constituency: Patient Self pay selection.

These global changes are included in the Constituencies and Classifications queue, in this order:
