Global change/WealthPoint Model Score Maintenance

This Global change adds a WealthPoint rating score to constituents.

The Global change has three parameters.

  • Exclude constituents selection. Optional. If left blank, the global change will run on all constituents matching the inclusion criteria described below; if a selection is entered the constituents in the selection will be excluded from the process.
  • WealthPoint Attribute. Required. Because the naming convention for WealthPoint model scores varies across affiliates, this parameter will confirm the appropriate attribute.
  • WealthPoint – Former Attribute. Required. See below.

  • Find constituents who do not have a WealthPoint model score (defined by the WealthPoint attribute parameter above) with a start date/update date = screened date.  This will select any rescreened constituents and any constituents who were screened for the first time.  For these constituents, update or add the rating.
  • If the new rating value is the same as the existing rating value, the existing rating should be updated so the update date = the new screening date.  In this scenario, no new rating will be added.
  • If the new rating value is different from the existing rating, or there is no existing rating, add a new WealthPoint model score (attribute = “WealthPoint attribute” parameter) with a start date = screened date and a model score value following the existing stored procedure logic. (See below.)
  • If this process adds an additional rating for a constituent who already has a rating with no end date, copy the old rating attribute to the new attribute identified in the WealthPoint – Former Attribute parameter, and set the end date of this new attribute to the current screening date.  Delete the old rating attribute.

Note that this Global change will create multiple model scores for some rescreened constituents.  Existing global changes will manage multiple model scores with options to either mark one former or to delete older ones and keep model scores consistent across spouses.
