Prospect status can be set manually in Atlas, but most affiliates prefer to have it set automatically. We developed a global change to do this. There are a number of options described below with slight variations in criteria.
The global change requires the name of the stored procedure:

Constituents with a prospect manager OR a prospect status are evaluated. Recent updates include evaluating all interaction participants (not just the main participant), and evaluating all plans (active and historical, instead of just active).
