Atlas has a smart field called “Primary Constituency Code” that pulls in the highest constituent code a constituent has based on the order of the constituent code table. The constituencies at the top of the table rank higher than the ones lower down.
Go to Constituent/Constituencies and Edit constituency order, screen should look like example above. Adjust the order of the constituent codes as appropriate.
NOTE – you are taken to a different location if you just type “constituency” in the application features search window at the top of the screen. Changing the order here does bupkiss. Note the link to the GL. Do NOT change the order here as it doesn’t have any effect on building the primary constituent code.
Also note – we purchased this customization from BB, their programming is set to only calculate the primary constituent code smart field for active constituents (as in not marked inactive).
