The Correspondence Process sets a Sent Date on the records visible on a constituent’s communications tab; the OOB version uses the date of whenever you start the process, but sometimes we don’t know or don’t get to add the correspondence until after it goes out, so that date is not always accurate. This customization adds a Sent Date parameter to the process enabling the user to specify when the process is run.
Good to Know!
- You can run this process and created a file to download without actually creating the correspondence records; just “uncheck” Update constituent record with correspondence detail.
How Do I?
- Update Sent Date on Correspondence Records I already created?
- Delete correspondence records entirely? Go to the Correspondence Process >> History >> use the chevron to open the secondary view of the specific run, and click on Clear results.
